Translation (he's a really good football player )
In his own mind, for sure.

But all seriousness aside, many fan websites for big-name schools (Clemson, Florida, others) had him on their radar last Fall.

Asking this just out of curiosity...

What would a day in Nac and on campus look like for a FB recruit on an official visit? Can someone in-the-know describe how that's typically done?

That's a great question. I'd imagine it's pretty quiet when there's not a basketball game, but would love to hear an insider's perspective.

If he signs, I see a redshirt in his future. Coming from a tiny private school where he dominated smallish guys, D-1 football will be a learning experience for him. But he's certainly got a frame to build upon.

The way things have gone, I wouldn't be surprised if our coaching staff nabs one or both of them.

One, or both, of these would allow freshmen to redshirt. An extra year of nutrition, S&C, and physical maturing is huge for OL.

Probably there will be more roster openings, but how many scholarships, full or partial, can we possibly have available?

What I have been told is that a good portion of the "signing class" was actually walk on prospects. Conque had scholarships counted forward and really tied the new staffs hands behind their backs. Can`t have very many spots or much money left to give out.

63 full scholarships divided among no more than 85 individuals FCS so this is where you see partial scholarships and such..

85 for FBS "head count scholarships" "full ride"

"Scholarships counted forward." Please explain what this means.

A Class 2-A team. Probably nothing to get excited about, but who knows? Could be a sleeper.

Coaches can "Blue shirt" or count that players initial scholarship forward a year or semester. That allows coaches financial flexibility for a semester. So you can have a guy on an initial letter of intent but his money not count against the books until a later date. Clint had several players counted forward apparently and these guys are now having to deal with it. Its like dead money on an NFL players contract essentially.

Thanks. I was familiar with red, grey, and green early enrollee. It seems like it would be a very small number of guys not recruited, but on scholarship. Were they on the roster even though they could not play? This helped also:
