I'm sure what's going to happen to the building then? I'm more confused.

I'd like to know what that building will end up being used for.

The bigger building that the ECHL is part of is primarily faculty offices, meeting rooms, and the Charter School. The Charter School is, as far as I know, continuing on. So the building is still going to be mostly occupied, with just the ECHL space having to be repurposed.

I have no strong feelings one way or the other about the ECHL, but I do acknowledge that SFA's current leadership is finally making tough financial choices that the old pre-UT SFA would just endlessly punt down the road. There's money spent on programs and offices at SFA that no one ever re-evaluates or re-thinks because of a mindset that "we've done things this way for 50 years, why should we change?"

Gotcha. So the building stays. That's good. I do agree it's good to be on top of most of these things, unlike most of the time when we would wait on a project.

Good points. The university exists to serve the public as efficiently as possible.

To many low impact programs have been continued for no other reason than the institutional inertia that has maintained them for decades.
