That Timpson-Garrison game should be a good one. Garrison played them close the first time they met, with Timpson pulling away in the 4th quarter. Believe it or not, Mr. Texas Football, Terry Bussey, has not been the one leading them to their lopsided wins so far in the playoffs. Two other guys have. They are deep in the backfield.

BTW, I've been following Timpson all year, since my grand-nephew is their starting center. He sustained a knee injury last week and did not play this week, and probably won't against Garrison either. They hope to have him back for the Semifinals, assuming they get past Garrison.

Daingerfield was the closest to beating Timpson this season.

The game went back and forth and Timpson was up 26-18 with 2 minutes remaining in the game when the Tigers scored from the Timpson 3 yard line and converted on the 2-point try to make it 26-26.

Timpson answered with a long explosive run play up the sideline from their 32 after the KO, and with 4 seconds remaining Bussey who was pretty much a non-factor the entire game scored from 9 yards out to win it for the Bears 32-26.

Daingerfield did this without their starting QB who was out for the entire game.

Hard to beat a team two times during the same season, so I think Garrison will be up to the challenge.

I knew Bussey could run, but I was surprised by his accuracy and arm strength as a passer. He probably won't play QB in college, but he could and would excel at it.

BTW, if you're not aware of his personal life and upbringing, do a little research. He has overcome a ton of obstacles in his life and his story is an inspiration to all who know him. He's not just a fabulous athlete. He's an outstanding person.

And BTW, he has committed to A&M, but rumors are that LSU wants him badly and is trying to woo him away. LSU's HC was at the game last night. Bussey has not signed with A&M.

Also, do you know what school was the very first to offer him a scholarship? SFA!

Desoto didn't even give Summer Creek the common courtesy of taking them to the woodshed. That was just a public execution.

Side note because you didn't include the Six Man scores, I always watch the six man games because I think it's incredibly fun to watch and honestly an untapped market for WR or DB prospects, especially considering the speed Six Man plays with every down. Riley Reed, a WR and DB for Gordon is a freaking ball hawk, and just a sophomore. Looked fast enough and has really good instincts. Would be a good PWO prospect as a DB for a lot of colleges if he continues to develop.

PS: do not google Riley Reed without including Gordon Six-Man Football, or do, it's a free country.
