Went to Tyler High vs Forney.

Tyler's QB is 5'6 and it went about as well as you'd guess. Backup QB is listed at 5'7.

Need to get some miracle gro in the water fountains over there. Never seen a starting QB that small for a varsity team in my life.

And having what many consider to be the best player in the state in Terry Bussey helps, too. But Garrison has a strong team, too. They'll probably go two or three rounds in the playoffs.

Hampton is a good one, I don't doubt it.

Don't know if he would want to go all the way to Alabama though as it would be harder for his family to go and watch him play, but we will see.

He currently holds 27 division I FBS offers.

This is not really HS sports related, but I didn't see anywhere else to put it...

I saw on X that the deadline for HS filmmakers to submit entries in the UIL State Film Festival is this Saturday.

UIL State Film Festival??? I had no idea. That's fantastic!! I hope there's a way to see one or more of the winners.

Former SFA football great Tim Knicky has been chosen as the first HC at new school Liberty Hill Legacy Ranch HS. He was previously the DC at Georgetown HS. Legacy Ranch's mascot will be the Wranglers.

As I recall, Huntington has a talented girl who was a friend of Kellogg's daughter and who followed SFA WBB closely. What can you tell us about her, No-look? A possible Ladyjack at some point?

Or do I have her confused with someone else? There's also a talented girl from Broaddus, so I may be thinking of her.

Huntington girl is Kara Anderson. I think she committed to TJC. She's having a really good playoff series.

Huntington advances To the championship game with a 47-33 win over Columbus. Kira Anderson had a double double with 28 points and 17 rebounds. Wonder if the SFA coaching staff has looked ?

Frisco Liberty's SFA SIGNEE Keyera Moseby (get use to hearing that name!) is averaging 11.4 points and 5.2 rebounds for the year. And she has made 54 3-pointers for the state's #2 ranked 5-A team. She was also the MVP of last year's UIL state championship game.

Liberty is again in the State Semifinals tonight vs. Richmond Randle.

I can't wait to see her in SFA purple and white next year!!!!

Liberty is going to have their hands full in the final on Saturday. They will take on Mansfield Timberview (40-1), which is ranked #1 in Texas 5-A and #14 in the country. Timberview has already defeated the defending state champions in Class 6-A, 5-A (Liberty), and 4-A.

Liberty takes down #1 Timberview to win their 2nd straight 5-A state title. Moseby had 8 points and 5 rebounds.
