Water Polo has become a UIL-sanctioned sport this Fall. There are 32 Class 6-A Districts, but 3 of those districts are getting byes for not having any schools in them (so, 29 district championships this year). The first day of practice was August 1, scrimmages starting on August 5, and games starting on August 8. Play will continue through District championships on October 8 and the state championships on October 29.

That sport is much harder to play than people think. If you think it gets bad on the bottom of a football pile, imagine a game where no one can see what is going on under the water for the entire game.
