UIL moves the start of all Fall sports in Classes 5-A and 6-A back one month. Classes 4-A and smaller will start as originally scheduled.

Ft Worth ISD will announce at noon that all Tarrant County schools will be ONLINE only until Sept 28

I don't understand this at all. It's either safe enough for everyone or too dangerous for spread for everyone.

And the models suggest it's the latter for the next month atleast, so I don't get this move at all.

Indeed. Those were people that seriously under appreciated what an amazing job he did in working with the kids in an area of challenging economic demographics. The man was an open book that worked his butt off for the kids. As I recall, he was one year from retiring, and Quick was his handpicked successor. So, we would be where we are, just one year later.

Daingerfield Tigers (9-2) defeated Grand Saline last night in Ore City in the Bi-District Championship 53-21 to advance to the Area Championship where they will take on the winner of the Waskom/New Waverly game tonight.

Also the Hughes Springs Mustangs (5-3) defeated Anderson-Shiro 34-26 in their Bi-District Game.

They will take on West Rusk in the Area Championship next week.

How do high schools decide where to play their FB playoff games? There has to be some coordination between the two teams' coaches and administrators, as well as with other schools' availability of facilities and willingness to host. Does anyone know?

Coaches do most of the deciding along with the superintendents.. Coaches make contact with possible opponents early in the week and talk about where they would like to play if they have to play each other.. Usually the coach/Superintendent already have a location secured for play a week prior to playing..
