A win is a win. But, I watched enough to say the old maxim in soccer is true - "stabbing kills".

Too much leg lunging on defense. We were out shot almost 2-1. Sure some of A&M CC's shots were not great but let's be honest. We were fortunate to win.

A lot of this is the portal taking consistency from squads.

Not an indictment of the current coaching staff but a reflection of how the game developed.

We were the better team in the second half. It was the best half we have played all season. We have been to all home games, some of which were ugly like vs a bad La Tech team. This win was earned.

Corpus started five seniors. We had two girls go through senior day on Sunday. This is an extremely young team that lost a ton of talent the last two years, including three that started for UH in their Big 12 road win over K State yesterday.
