Limited equipment and resources. Put a priority on soccer vs A&M. VB today and Saturday will be on ESPN+. Soccer on Sunday vs UH will be on ESPN+.

Relative to the game, we played very poorly in the first set, and still only lost by two points. Struggled a little at the end of set four to close out the match.

ACU today at 5:00, and Sam at 2:00 on Saturday.

We did not play well, at all. We gifted ACU the first set. Hit .043 in the set. We had low energy. Our RGV transfer was off both offensively and defensively. Our serving was generally very cautious, so ACU was able to make easy passes. Still, we won.

The challenge was on a point earlier in the last rally that a ball we hit had hit the antenna in the net. It took them awhile to find the exact point of the rally that it occurred. That's why it took so long.

That one hurt. We still have some players out on injury ?

Sam won today match? Not sure how that is possible

It shouldn't have happened. Watching Sam dog pile on our court like they just won a national championship was not good.

IMO, I have to give Sam some credit. I think they outplayed SFA in this match. Plus, the Ladyjacks gave away at least a dozen points via service errors. I admit that I haven't watched a lot of Ladyjacks matches, but that was the poorest match that they've played among the ones I've watched in the last couple of years, and definitely the worst serving I've seen.

Coach Humpheys cannot be pleased about how they played in this match and in this tournament. Her weekly interview should be interesting to watch.

Humphreys said the trip to Chicago would be challenging, and it has been. Lost a 5-setter to Loyola-Chicago (15-13 in the 5th) and a 4-setter to Bowling Green (all four sets were won by two points). They take on Indiana of the volleyball-tough Big Ten tomorrow.

Ya. Still have some power team opponents coming up

Indiana of the Big 10 steamrolled our Ladyjacks in straight sets. They dominated at the net, hitting .395 to SFA's .032 and had 15 blocks to SFA's 3.

It was David vs. Goliath, and the big guy won this round.

With #10 SMU coming to Nac on Thursday. Glad we could get them to come to Nac but may be a butt kicking.

Ya. We scheduled super strong squads. Loyola and Bowling Green were predicted to win there respective conferences. Indiana. Well what can you say. BIG10. Super strong squads

Maybe a bit too much. Would have liked to see us be in a position to come out of non-conference with a winning record.

Unlike basketball where we have trouble scheduling quality teams, volleyball has the opposite situation. It's the high end teams that want to play us, while many comparable teams to us won't play. UT and Baylor both wanted to play. We said no. SMU is actually a return game from a few years ago that got rescheduled by them a few times. We would have been okay with them buying out of their contract, but they wanted to play.

Nice. Good for us to get some quality opponents. We should be well tested going into conference.

Debbie used the ninth different starting line up in nine matches against Tarleton. The first set was the best I have seen us play this season. We back slid in the second set trailing 20-12, then went on a 13-2 run to win the set. Very solid 3-0 win.

Looked like a strong match for a mid major competing head to toe with a Power 4 in Set one. Proud of the Ladyjacks. Crowd looked electric. Even saw Dr Weaver in the "Suite" Level seating. Would be fun to see him at some football games leading the charge with the students.

Dr. Weaver, and First Lady Kristi, are regulars at volleyball, soccer, football, and both basketball teams. I have seen them at beach, softball, and baseball. I need to encourage them to make it to tennis.
