Got all of 9 minutes and 20 seconds of the match at FAU in before it was cancelled due to weather. That's a long travel to .

Picked up this game because UTSA cancelled right before the season started.

Watched most of the U of H game. A little of the SMU game. Our spacing is soooo much improved. We also look so much quicker in the mid field. It looks like this team has upside.

UABP is seriously short handed, but the Lumberjacks played some really good soccer. Coach has built a very nice combination of freshmen, transfers, and returners. Now 3-1-2 on the season. Three clean sheets in a row.

I've felt it for a while. This team is special. The energy. The enthusiasm. On the pitch they are fast, physical, technically sound. Lamar did not see that coming. Throw in the LMB, and it was a rousing good time.

Haven't seen in person but watched the game versus TAMU SA and Arkansas PB. The movement from the midfield is much improved. The finishing in the box is even better.

We should win quite a few games in the SLC.

Coach Williams has everything to do with the turnaround. Recruiting, tactics, culture. The team has a great mix of returners, transfers, and freshmen. Recall also that his top assistant left, for a great opportunity, just a couple of weeks before the season started.

With a game in hand, two wins and a tie finishes no worse than a tie for the championship. Win out, SLC champions. Even though they are on the road, if we don't beat Nicholls and McNeese, we shouldn't be conference champions.

Regardless, not bad for a preseason #7, with zero first or second team players.

Quite the turnaround. Says a lot about our recent hire.

With the new ad and what seems like a very optimistic scenario for many of our teams, I'd have to say Amen. And it sounds like recruiting has been fruitful.

SLU tied by UTRGV 1-1
NSU beats Lamar 2-0

CURRENT STANDINGS:

SFA-18 points
NSU - 16 points
Commerce - 16 points
SLU - 16 points

SFA, and NSU, with a game in hand compared to Commerce and SLU. We play at 0-8 Nicholls on Sunday. NSU with UTRGV at home. Both win on Sunday, and the SLC championship will be decided in Nac on November 1.
