Texas State on Monday. They haven't played a match this semester. They play at Sam tomorrow before coming to Nacogdoches. No ideas what kind of team they have. They were 6-13 last season.

Improved? At least a little. If they aren't fighting to stay out of the basement this year I'll be happy.

We haven't played anybody yet. UTRGV got swept by both Sam and ACU. Alcorn is never good. At least we are beating the teams we should beat.

A narrow loss, but this squad seems to be much improved overall from last year.

Ok. Crank dat...... I didn't realize a tennis victory by our Ladyjacks would bring out the best of PVAMU.

I guess this was a take on our SWAC domination

Lost a tight 4-3 opening conference match at 6-0 UNO.

Evened up the conference record.

Next up is 3-7 (0-2) UIW at home. Coach Erin Scott recently had a baby. She was back at practice after just two days. This team is making progress.

2-1 in conference play. Next up is ACU on Sunday.

It is. We saw the doubles and some of the singles on our way out of town for the night. UIW only had five players, so one singles point was a walkover, and we only had to win one of two doubles matches. Still, any 7-0 win is a good one. Good turnout for the match. Beach Volleyball was there for a bit. ACU will probably be our toughest SLC opponent to this point, and will be a good measure of where we are. Definite improvement from the last few years.

We have one of the best tennis facilities in the conference, but the courts are in need of being resurfaced. The athletic department is working on pricing, but it is not cheap. Another example of how badly our athletic facilities were neglected.

ACU takes the doubles point and three singles matches to edge the Ladyjacks 4-3. Now 2-2 in SLC with both losses being by 4-3 scores.
