Baseball and softball schedules have been posted. Baseball has a home tournament with teams TBD. No high level home non conference games. Softball has a home and home with Baylor. Also play at UT and A&M.

Camps, individual youth baseball training, spouse with a job, etc. I don't think they have another job with the university. Martino left to take a paying job to support his young family. His wife and young son are still in Nacogdoches. He is away a lot. The third paid assistant proposal that got voted down by the AD's was a big deal. Ivey voted for it.

Not much talk around baseball, but season kicks off this weekend with a series at Arkansas State. Then a mid-week game at #20 Texas A&M.

Side note, I started a thread on the Tailgate forum to see if anyone is interested in getting some box tickets for the 3/6 Lamar game.

Baseball starts the season with a nice 3-2 win at Arkansas State. Solid pitching, and decent hitting, overcame three errors.

Looking at the roster, I see that Brandon Uhse, who started.every game last season as a true freshman is gone. Found that he has transferred to Juco, and has committed to UH. Good looking ball player. Wonder why he left.

I learned that, though he is a talented player, he was not a good teammate. Apparently, SFA was not the right place for him. Wish him well.
