The Diamond Head Classic tournament is still a few days away but here are some Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks basketball injury updates (so far) as we enter the holiday week.

TY CHARLES:

Cast was removed early this last week but Charles has not yet been able to practice. Availability for the weekend tournament is definitely still up in the air. Ty has been recovering from a broken hand suffered during the season opener at Kentucky.

Keller joked after the LSU-Shreveport game that Ty has the best left-handed hook shot in the nation after spending the last couple months without use of his right. Would be huge to get him back if SFA is going to upset Tulsa in the opening game.

NATHAN BAIN:

Bain has missed several games with a back injury. No good news. He will have back surgery on Monday and is expected to miss the remainder of the season. A medical redshirt application is not out of the question.

AARON AUGUSTIN:

Augustin suffered a hand injury although it is relatively minor and he played a couple minutes during SFA's win over LSU-Shreveport. He's expected to be available to play during the tournament.

Update 12/22/16: Ty Charles was able to practice in limited drills this week but has not yet practiced with the team. He will not play today in Hawaii versus Tulsa barring a major surprise. Source left the door open for a possible last-second game time decision but it is unlikely.
