As ugly as a game gets. I thought it would be tough to win in Lake Charles, but i didn't expect it to be over so quick.

Well, good first year for coach. Can't help but be extremely disappointed this is how we show up. We can make a deficit up with mediocre teams, but not McNeese. It finally bit us big time. Would be nice to have a final to go to the dance played at the Sawmill. This needs to change.
69-50 McNeese U8. We're scoring now, but just trading buckets.

Above expectations for the year, even though the Preseason Poll said otherwise. I'm happy with how we performed.
Our guys are done.
It's been an excellent season regardless of how ugly this game has been. It will be interesting to see if Braeuer wants to play in the NIT. I know North Texas did.

Honestly, I would accept it. Get some postseason action for the young guys. Build something special next year.
Very disappointing. But if anyone came to you in November and said the Jacks would go 28-5 and get to the Southland final every Jack fan would have taken it after last year. Coach Braeuer has laid a solid foundation.
Hope this doesn't hurt us getting into the NIT?
I doubt it. But NIT has tried to include more P4 teams.

From what i asked some Redditors. Our NET is good enough for NIT and also we won our conference so we should still be able to go.
Also final. Still proud of our guys. I will miss Keon and Christmas.

It's contracted. Can't be changed. The SLC allowed themselves to be screwed over while we were playing in the WAC.
As RichieVan said, if anyone had predicted a 28-5 season after that year's crapola of a season and the addition of 13 new faces, just about everyone on here would have said that person was crazy in the coconut.
Now let's go make some noise in the NIT!!
It makes absolutely no sense that the tournament is held in Lake Charles
Things can get fixed with lawyers - even contracts, but I doubt SFA admin care that much. Now if McBroom really wants to he could cause a stink. The dominant year that SFA is having is another wake up call to the Southland.
Hoping we can keep Brauer. If we can I feel like we can make some noise.

Won the regular season championship. NIT is an automatic for us because of that.

The "Top 125" Rule: Regular-season champions from conferences like the Southland only receive an automatic NIT bid if their average ranking across several major metrics (NET, KenPom, BPI, etc.) is 125 or better.

I surely thought we'd be the ones to lose by 20 after playing 3OT till midnight. We have the tournament till 2029 plus first right of refusal Lol, get used to it! Y'all left the SLC for dead and gloated along with ACU looking down on the other schools. Hilarious this is the deal SFA crawled back to!!

When the regular season started (after the exhibition) I knew we had something. Maybe 18 or 19 wins. Finish in the top half of the league.
This team and coaches totally exceeded expectations. To be frank, if we can keep the core and a few compliments, the sky is the limit.

Noted….we would pass the 125 rule. Idk if we'd be lucky enough to host but will get in.
Here's another regular season champion getting knocked out in a conference tournament. Liberty University won the CUSA title but lost to Missouri State 77-69 in their conference quarterfinal.

It's funny you want to talk smack but you'd be nowhere to be found if McNeese had lost. Yes, we knew the deal, but don't expect anything beyond 2029.
