I'm not sure if we have another run in us. UNO survived the last one unfazed. We don't look like we want the title tonight.

60-47 UNO U8. Still ugly.

Another middle-of-the-pack team giving us their best shot. Have to admit that they're outplaying the Jacks.

Benson with 24 points. Nothing stopping him tonight.

Absolutely a flagrant should have been called on Benson

77-73 UNO to blow up the perfect season at home. Title is going to have to wait.

Literally every single time men's basketball has begun receiving votes in the top 25, they lose the next game. It's like an omen.

Couldn't hit the 3 today, get this lose out of their system and come back strong and win the last two.

Well everyone needs a wakeup game before conference tourny. This better be it. Yikes.

Sorry to be a crybaby, but the no call on the Benson flagrant foul was a game changer. We were down 2 and it would have given us two free throws plus the ball.
You can rightly make the point we played poorly and never should have been in that position, but that non call was egregious

Benson was the game changer. Hit every ridiculous shot, all his free throws, guarded Kam and Narit all night and let them have nothing. If he had shot just really good instead of lights out, we win. But they came out tough and never let up.

The shooting was unfathomable Don't think we'll have to work through that again. Hopefully.

Can you give me a time stamp where this occurred? I couldn't watch the whole game. Would love to check it out.

The drive back to Houston sucked just like the Jacks did tonight.

As bad as they played they almost won. This team has fight and don't quit.

New win streak starts this Saturday.

It helps a team if you can get either Keon or Lateef into foul trouble early so they can ride the bench. I think that happened again tonight. Lateef had two fouls pretty quickly. So had to be on the bench for some time. But at that point you need to have some other names step up. Which would be Narit or Kam. So maybe they shouldn't always go for a three-point try; instead, they drive baseline and get some two-pointers. Your only other Guard after them for points would be Christmas, but that's just not going to happen.

I hope the last two games aren't the start of a disturbing trend. Last home game for some, unblemished home record - a lot to play for and yet the energy seemed to lack. It's a long season, sure, but it's a long season for UNO and they were the better team

They were also 10-0 on Monday nights. They love it for some reason.

Thanks. Yeah defintely had high elbows and wacked Narit. Typical SLC Refs, I guess, can't ever rely on them making a correct call.

If you get to see it , Richie is right on it. Should have been a foul at minimum. Prob a flagrant foul.

Yeah, I explained above, your message should have been some kind of Foul atleast not a foul on us.

Narit would have two free throws. If he ties the game, Jacks get the ball and could play for the last shot to win.
Huge no call

Yeah. Thats SLC Refs for you. They tend to disrupt the flow of the game, either blowing the whistle too much in the second half or hardly at all. There is never any consistency.

Braeuer asked for a review since there was head contact and he was denied. That's a problem. Now, the refs can say the reach in foul was committed before the flagrant, but it still does not cancel the flagrant.

Ya. I think our lack of height can be a problem when we aren't making our 3-pointers .

Going inside options are limited. If we keep Alisas, I think he can be a real contributor next year. He's just now starting to find his rhythm. And with Colonel as our only rim protector we don't have depth at the block.

We've got to get a couple of bigs. Everyone knows it.
nacluth
How long do you want to ignore this user?
It's easier to recruit good bigs when you can sell them on that they are the missing piece for a really good team to become great. Braeuer was lucky to get Colonel to transfer on to this new team. I have hope we can get some height based off of the success this year.

Agree! Perhaps a couple of the better big men in our conference who want to stay closer to home but respect where our program is heading...Braden East, a sophomore from Lamar, would be a great addition and he knows the league!
