Gutsy win. You know you have a good team when you can survive a teams best punch. Nicholls shoots 50% from three and 55% from the field. They never cooled off while we shot our season average. Domination on the boards was the difference.

Hate to find fault in a win, but the Jacks defense was not up to par tonight. Nicholls drove to the basket for layups way too many times. I'm sure that will be a point of emphasis in preparing for the UNO game Monday and in practices in the week ahead.

Also, the other day I posted an SFA stat showing how good our 3-point shooting defense has been this season, easily the best in the conference. Nicholls shot that average to pieces tonight. Got to give them credit for that.

Nicholls will be a tough out for someone in the conference tournament.

I don't think anyone on here has mentioned that it was Senior Night tonight. A nice ceremony for Keon, Ahamed, Gerald, and Chrishawn and their families before the game. All have been true leaders this season.

I had been to a home game since sometime last semester....crowd was noticeably much bigger!

Yes. The crowd was good. Plenty of alumni and locals. Purple Haze however was not in significant numbers. The only disappointment of this trip. Team is 25-3 and we can't get more than 400-500 students to show up. ???

I feel like we should get close to 1000 students for almost every game, with the exception of the games over the holiday break. What does GCU do that we can't do?

I vaguely remember us discussing this long, long ago in the WAC days. Something about GCU paying students to attend. They are a wealthy private school, after all.

They are for profit but I think we need to have more incentives for students to come.

Ideas:

4 missed free throws in a row free 6 plucker wings coupon.
Score 80+ points free 3 finger combo at canes.

Just bring students in. Get local places involved. Bring the hype.
