He's getting the minutes just to give Keon rest. Keon can't play at a high level for 40 minutes every game. Mohammed is just giving him breathers, but he is the biggest drop off from starter to bench player.

66-61 UTA final. Mavericks made the second half adjustments. Jacks couldn't buy a bucket in the second half. Had a terrible final 10 minutes offensively. Played ok defensively for most of the game.

Oh well, I still like this team a lot. Excited for the season and glad we are playing some quality opponents early. I also think we finally have a team that can shoot the mid-range jumper. That's huge IMHO. (And make it, which is even hugerer!)

That showed some of our vulnerability against a team that has a little height on us. UTA was getting more 2nd and 3rd looks than normal. 23% from 3 point land is not in the game plan.

Their game plan was to drive the paint, and it worked very well. And as someone said, can't keep giving up 2nd and 3rd chances and expect to win.

This is a good team! Two tough losses where we had the lead late but we didn't put it away. We should get better/stronger as the team gels with more playing time. I do feel we didn't make the adjustments today to open up the 3 point game in the second half. We have the shooters. Also, free throw points continue to be the Keller hangover...
