Have to say that some parts of that game were about as exciting of a brand of basketball as we've seen in about a decade.

It doesn't show we missed all our one & ones.

To play that fast-paced type of ball and have only 10 turnovers is amazing.

Kam came up big tonight. He played a really good game. He can knock down that outside shot.

Last night was a cleansing for me as a graduate and fan of SFA. The Kyle Keller era started out with so much promise. I was certain that he was as good as gone in February 2020 as we were heading to a Cinderella-esque season after getting the improbable win at Duke and likely at least a 12 seed. After COVID it seemed like he was resigned to the fact that his best chance to move to a Power 5 job was in the past. The following seasons led to good but not great results and what seemed like an annual disagreement with one of our better players that led to a mid-year suspension. The offense seemed stale and even though we called ourselves "Press U" the moniker did not truly fit our defense.

The Rice game reminded me of the Brad Underwood era. Tenacity and movement were readily evident. This team "works" and Keon Thompson reminds me of Kevon Harris 2.0. Keeping him in the program was a massive off-season victory for Braeuer. Can't wait to see what transpires over the next few months and for the possibility of our name being called on Selection Sunday once again.
