WHEN: 11/7 (FRI) 6:00P.M.
WHERE: William R. Johnson Coliseum (Nacogdoches, TX)
WATCH: ESPN+

The Lumberjacks will host the D1 home opener with a rematch against the Red Wolves of Arkansas State. Last year we lost by 10 on the road where we were led by Matt Hayman who scored 12 points in a lackluster game. This year, he will be starting on the away bench again - just suited up for the other team.

The new look Lumberjacks manhandled the D3 Millsaps Majors on Monday, but this Arkansas St. team has already beaten a decent Ohio team. This will be a defensive test as we'll see who can cover assignments. Should be a nice Friday night game that will be a first look for the home fans to see what this year's team could be.

A win would awesome but if not I hope we're competitive. Need to show that we can compete with a good mid major. Tonight should give a good indicator as to where we're at and what needs fixed.

Hayman was a non-factor in their opening come-from-behind 89-85 win over Ohio. Scored 7 but had 5 turnovers.

6'5" senior guard Chandler Jackson had 21 points and 8 rebounds, and 5'11" sophomore guard Joey Chamma added 22 off the bench.
