85-75 SFA win. Up to tied for the 8 seed.

Lumberjacks have the easiest February schedule of any SLC team. It's a good time to get things rolling.

Only six personal fouls? Am I reading that right?

Yeah, the Vaqueros coach wasn't all that happy about it either.

Jacks play Northwestern St this Saturday. NW knocked off Nicholls tonight.

Northwestern has been playing really well lately. They had a four point game with McNeese with about 6:30 to go.

Three way tie for the #8 spot with UIW, UTRGV and SFA. We're three games back from the three team logjam at #5 (NWST, AMCC, HCU).

Four games ago we were 3 games out of the 8 seed. I didn't think we would make it. Now we're 3 games out from the 5th seed with 6 games left. Can we make it?

5-1 would probably get us there. 4-2 maybe. Hard hill to climb but it could be done. The four game road trip will tell the tale. Like what I'm seeing.

Pangonis is a stud and is just a freshman. Hopefully the powers that be will find a way to keep him in Nac the next few years.

One thing that stats don't show about Pangonis and Sylla the last few games is that Jasick is putting them in in sixth man type settings. Once the offense is start to slack off a little, he's bringing them in to energize the team and they have.

I think one thing that always frustrated SFA fans about Keller was the incessant subbing. Jasick's subs so far seem to compliment the needs of the team. Dom is making the most of his moments.

Roger that. Jasick's substitute pattern is less disruptive.

Really like what I am seeing in Sylla. He's not tearing it up but he brings in a lot of energy. Love his size on the court and he moves really well. Hard to believe that he wasn't getting any playing time under Coach K. Some kids just need playing time to develop and he wasn't getting it.

Makes me wonder how Chris J would be doing under Coach Jasik?

Everything feels different about this team, at least over the past 2 games. I'm actually excited to see them play the next few games, and I haven't been really excited about watching them all season.

I wouldn't put him in the 'stud' category, but he's certainly in the 'keeper' category. Agree that the new HC should try to hang onto him. But he'll quickly be grabbed by someone if he hits the portal.

BTW, is Southwick injured? I don't think he's played a minute since the coaching change.

He's been present the past two or three games in sweat pants, but hasn't participated in any of the pregame warm up drills. Emmanuel also hasn't dressed out. He tweaked something game before last.

Agree with the observations mentioned up to this point, the whole team feels different under Jasick right now. We're still not a great shooting team, but we're getting better looks and guys are shooting with more confidence, so we're seeing that pay dividends. Based off some quick math of the last six games under Keller, we shot 19 3's per game and were making 21.7 percent of them. In the six games under Tony, we're shooting 24.5 3's per game and converting on 36.1 percent of them. That's a huge difference when you consider we didn't suddenly add different shooters.

Substitutions have been a huge part of this, I see a night and day difference in how Tony lets guys play through struggles and make up for their mistakes. I'm noticing guys being able to play until they tell the bench they need a sub because they are getting fatigued. It signifies trust in the players and I think they are responding well to that. Tony made an interesting call to have Nana come off the bench but I think it's gone well, he's also adjusted well to matchups where Stone isnt in the best position to succeed and adjusted our on-court personnel effectively.

Last 6 Games, these 2 are leading the way!

Keon- 16 points, 9 RPG
Matt - 15.8 points, 7 RPG

Just noticed that Keon is a junior. Thought he was a senior.
