The Lumberjacks are in play at home this afternoon for the first half of a doubleheader. They have the chance to complete a season sweep of Lamar.

How the Lumberjacks were able to come back from 14 down on the road to win in the first matchup is a little of a mystery, but a burst of three point scoring right before and after the half definitely changed the momentum. Today the Jacks (2-8) have a chance to get the second half of league play off to a winning start.

Defense which was decent in the first Lamar game hasn't been as available lately. They will need to find some and play a little more free on offense. The crowd could get behind them quick.

At 15+ minutes left Lamar up 43-28 and I was about ready to shut it off but to the Jacks credit they did battle back to get within 3 at one point.
But as Red said, a better first half would have made the difference in constantly chasing a deficit.
