Edit: Lamar with 4 fgs and an and-one in the past 3 minutes. Scott's directed offense with no bigs on the court is our most effective squad.

Lamar has looked really good the 2nd half. He has really good size.

Hope the kids alright. He looked like he had a lot of potential. Loved his speed and ability to get down the court.

I loved watching an Underwood offense run. Of course, we had the players to do it. And, there was always some complaining at the first of the year when we didn't destroy a sub par opponent. Some things changes, first of the year complaining usually doesn't.

Sylla looked gassed after two plays. He must be sick.

I know I'm probably being too critical this early on. In fairness I am usually one of the first ones to say not to worry, it's still early.

But we've seen a lot of the exact same issues with Keller over the past 7 seasons. I just want us to finally get back to being that team that can beat anyone in the country, #1 Duke included, and cruises through mid major and lower competition. It's felt weird to not be incredibly excited about basketball season.

Totally obvious and totally weak. I don't see how we can put him out there for extended periods of time (like more than 2-3 minutes). He shouldn't be shooting 3's.

We are better off running a more "Kensmil" type offense with Stone being a cog.

Reflections:

1. Hayman just wasn't with it until about 6 minutes into the 2nd half.
2. Southwick doesn't seem to have improved much. From last season.
3. Chris Johnson is for real. A little more of him with a true point guiding the team should be impactful.
4. Myles Jenkins seems to create and score. Consistently
5. Pangonnis has a lot of potential.

I can still see Sylla being the big man over Southwick. Feed it to him if the look isn't there for crashing at the glass. The guy should be taller than most people there. He needs to be ready to put it in the easy bucket. Then FT if he gets fouled and he's said. If he can occasionally drain a non contested free so be it. We all know Kensmil did it once and was amazing to see.

Southwick needs to contact Kensmil or something. (The guy is always open to PMs on Instagram) get into his mind set that he needs to be aggressive and hold onto the ball. If he can actually get that down. I feel like we got a new Kensmil type if he can hit his FTs.

Lastly I do want to see Chris Johnson in the starting 5. Everyone has praised the kid and think he will be great. Then why the heck is he riding the bench at the start of the game. Put him in the mix of Starting 5. Him and Lamar are the bright spots on the team.

About right.

Some items, one I was the guy who did the putt at halftime. Completely whiffed but free golf is free golf. Two, need to see Johnson, Lamar, and stone on the floor at the same time for extended periods. Three, 3 point shooting needs to improve.

Hopefully when Keon gets on the court he will get offense going. The Jacks need a floor leader and a consistent scorer and hopefully that is Keon.

I'm not sure Stone is the guy. Just seems like the outcomes with Stone are way better than either Southwick or Sylla.

I could see Sylla developing. He certainly needs to develop AND try to get back and play defense.

Lastly, having a real point guard should help. But losing Emmanuel leaves us using Hayman (largely) as a point guard. Ugh.

Is Keon Thompson coming back? I haven't seen him at games.

Thompson definitely wasn't on the bench this game. I thought he was last Monday.

Emmanuel was taken to the hospital by ambulance. Hopefully not as significant as it appeared.
