A 15 point loss to a good team on the road without your point guard is not good but to be considered. Drake had the dominant big and shooters that can light it up. We will struggle again this year in the front court but the Southland is not Drake strong( (MaNesse?) Early so hoping it gets ironed out.

I don't know what we have a problem with. I was pleased with the first half, but when things went south in the second, everything fell apart.

It looks like Chris Johnson wants to be the man, but he can't keep himself out there if he fouls every minute. Any word on when Thompson is coming?

Well it's time to go to my dental appointment and watch the Dallas Cowboys.

Well, Drake definitely had one shooter. Eight threes by that guy. The rest of the team had two.

I'm more of this mind. Drake is not to be discounted. A lot of our offensive flow is related to us missing a true PG. I think our offensive flow looks a lot better with 25 - 28 minutes of Keon Thompson running the point. Emmanuel might be an adequate backup in the SLC, but he needs some work to be much help against stronger teams.

I was pleased with the defense. We only had a handful of questionable exchanges. Most of them pointed back to our makeshift PG scenario.

LeTourneau is next. We need to show some measurable improvement on the offensive side without KT in the lineup Once KT returns the expectations should be much higher.

Remember, the Drake head coach has like 5 national titles.

Keller needs 29 games to figure out his rotation.

There is a reason their halftime adjustments worked.

So, we got out coached?

One positive is that Emmanuel is gaining valuable experience as a freshman.

I don't think we got out coached. When the threes started falling momentum kicked in we couldn't get back in it.

Yep. Pangonis and Emmanuel are brand new. I thought Emmanuel did just fine for his limited time. Look forward to seeing him for four years. Dom looks like he his good upside. I think they are two good pick ups.

I mean, one guy hit 8. Now, I'm just a couch coach, but making some sort of adjustment to focus on Steph Curry might have helped.

Maybe. I don't know. Seems like something to have considered.

On a side note, we shot barely above 50% from the FT lineā€¦so that yearly issue is still around. I'm absolutely sure that won't hurt us at all this year.

True. True, and True. That's why I'm optimistic. If Emmanuel is only getting 8-10 minutes a night, we are probably doing just fine. On the flip, if he is getting 10-12 minutes or more, we could be putting him in for mop up

Southwick should not be a starter. Jacks have glaring problems in the front court. Teams will be taking advantage of that all year.

Agree. Southwick = reliable backup = 8th man

It won't hurt us as much in the SLC, but let's face it, Nana is our post game. Sylla needs development. Serious.

Stone gives us one dimension inside. Just not reliable enough if the opponent has solid fundamentals. If the defender is undersized Stone can take advantage.

The Jacks need Keon Thompson back. Keith Lamar 9 minutes 2 points. He needs more playing time. To me Chris Johnson is trying to step up and be the leader the Jacks need. He has to hit his shots.
