What an effort with a short short bench, badly out rebounded in the game. Loss of cool at a bad time in game yet still a winner.
Nice brief interview with Bishop on the NWT ESPN broadcast. About as emotional as one ever sees Bishop get in praising the team's effort.

Ladyjacks have gone from 4-4 to 12-4 on the season. Bishop has done amazing with his little team. SELA's coach will deservedly win coach of the year, but Bishop's the coach for me.
THATS MY COACH!!! Bishop always shows his emotions..he's so proud of them...who wouldn't want to play for him?! LOVE this team.
That would interesting if the coaching staff put out the call for tryouts for walk-ons to help out on the roster.
I wonder what the reception would be like from the student body, and how many women would try out?
The question is, how many former high school and possibly college basketball players with eligibility are presently on campus and what would it take to get in playing shape so late in the season, and taking on the extra responsibilities of all of sudden becoming a student athlete.

I brought in up on here after recalling that TCU last season got down to 4 players and had to put out a call for walk ons. I found an article that reported that about 40 women showed up and 3 made the team. One remained into this season and earned a scholly.
This Ladyjack team leaves it all on the floor game after game. Obviously they work extremely hard and put in more minutes per game than most other teams due to roster shortage. IF all 9 of our healthy players were staying injury free then they could get by with 9 but a lot of the time we are at 8 and yesterday at NWST we had 7 and then 2 foul outs. I just don't want to see this group of young women get caught at end of season or at tourney time with only 4 or 5 players available. Hopefully won't happen but not out of the realm of possibility.
If nothing else a couple of late walk ons could provide more help at practices. It's getting late in the season so I don't know if they could reasonably give any help during a game.

Everything you've said makes perfect sense. An extra practice body. Someone to take a couple of minutes up so k ok ne of the regulars needs a breather.

Ladyjacks have 4 games remaining and are .5 games back from Lamar for the #2 seed. Lamar has 5 games remaining - the exact same opponents as SFA plus AMCC.
Being shorthanded, the Ladyjacks desperately need that double bye. We have to play clean going forward against winnable opponents. UIW on Saturday away is the big one. Time for Lamar to hand it over.
