SFA (11-6,4-2) vs. Seattle (10-7,3-3)
WHEN: 1/18 (THU) 6:30P.M.
WHERE: William R. Johnson Coliseum (Nacogdoches, TX)
WATCH: ESPN+
The Lumberjacks are coming home after getting the only road win the WAC had last week to take on the Redhawks of Seattle. The Jacks have found themselves decently placed in conference play after playing the bottom half of the WAC the last five games. Now the next 5 are against the top half. Let's hope they have similar results.
Seattle is a very good team despite their record. They have experience and probably the best guard (or second best) in Cam Tyson. He's averaging close to 20 points a game. Seattle rebounds very well, has lockdown perimeter defense and plays as a team. Their biggest weakness is travel. They only have one road win this year against a ho-hum UTEP.
The Jacks are maybe finding something with Kyle Hayman who has come alive the last couple of games. Hall getting more consistent with life from AJ has the team trending upwards. A strong showing against Seattle could be huge heading into the weekend's marquee matchup.
Last time up, the Jacks were abysmal on the boards. Against Seattle, we will need to be much more aggressive. Our bigs must get more than three boards in this game.
It's warmed up in Nac. No excuse not to come out and fill up the home seats.
