I have no idea with the talent we have that this may be the worst shooting SFA basketball team in memory. And they have the ability to make these shots too as we've seen in a couple of games this year. Idk what the issue is, but it's getting late enough in the year where it's feeling at least our shooting isn't just in a slump…

UNO was moving at a different speed than us first 10 minutes
Jacks outscored UNO 17-4 in final 8 minutes.
Jacks had 12 turnovers in a pretty pitiful first half save for maybe the last 4 minutes. Jordan Johnson as advertised has 10 in the first half. Let's hope the second half isn't quite as ugly.

UNO put us into the bonus with a technical 3:14 into the second half. We better have 30+ fts after this game.
Refs are getting chippy. Handing out T's because they're not making good calls.

I do agree with Buckets here....when you see technicals being handed out for trash talking etc, then why in the world do you keep doing it?!?!

They have beaten VCU, UAB, and Michigan so far. Got to think that's one of the best Southland nonconference runs in a long long time. Better than anything SFA pulled off save our Duke win.

For sure. I'm a big AJ fan. His defense is still stellar. Just needs to get his passing and ball handling back on track.

I have to disagree with you about Wilson, 85. IMO he's been the biggest disappointment of all of the new guys this year. Had an OK game tonight, but overall he hasn't impressed me. Makes too many ball-handling mistakes.
Some post game thoughts. This team is really good when they've lost the jitters, aren't rattled, and can relax and have fun. Problem is they seem to be getting rattled easily and then almost try too hard to make things happen, causing a lot of shots to be off the mark and the defense to overcommit.
You hate to say we still need to build chemistry mid season but this team 100% needs to before they get too deep in conference play. The talent is there. These guys have the size, speed, athleticism, and when they're calm they can hit from anywhere on the court. The transfer portal has been horrible for us keeping a team together to grow together in the offseason.
I trust in Keller to get things right and build these guys up together, the clock is ticking on getting it figured out. Once again our pre-conference resume is not good at all. It's gonna take a strong push through the WAC and winning the tournament to make sure we're dancing in March/April.
