Goodness. Basically, just win and hope for UNO to drop another one and we'll be sitting pretty regardless.

Holy crap! They must have a supercomputer up there in Frisco. (Or else someone has way too much time on their hands.)

Very interesting. So unlike what we were saying yesterday, SFA beats HBU in tiebreakers because we beat CC twice. So essentially for most scenarios:

UNO loses/SFA win - 1 seed
UNO wins & SFA wins & either CC/HBU loses - 2 seed
UNO wins & SFA wins & both CC/HBU win - 3 seed

We lose, all kinds of things happen (mainly 5 seed). So let's just win.

Yeah, I failed yesterday to see that HBU played CC twice. Man. Gonna be a crazy day.

Totally a Colonels fan today. They are playing to make the tourney basically, UNO has already clinched a SLC championship and a double bye. Let's hope UNO coasts out this last game. Something tells me they don't want to lose 3 in a row.

I tried to look back and couldn't find a league champion with 6 losses. That may be the final arbiter on how bad this season has been if we keep our driveforfive alive.

Thanks for somewhat clearing the muddy waters, Ryan.

That cannot be right. We beat Corpus twice. We split with New Orleans and beat Houston Baptist the only time we played them. Corpus and Houston Baptist split. Corpus only played New orleans once and lost to them. Houston Baptist did not beat New Orleans. We have to be the number two seed.

Non conference games do not come in to play at all. We are the number two seed. SFA

ABSOLUTELY STUPID TIE-BREAKING SYSTEM, BUT HERE'S HOW IT PLAYED OUT...

12-6, SFA, A&MCC, and HBU (with UNO at 13-5) Tournament Seeding Process Order: d) If three (3) or more teams tie for a position, and the tied teams all played two games against one another, the combined record of each of the tied teams against the other teams involved in the tie shall be compared until a seeding advantage is gained. Vs. other tied teams: SFA is 3-0, A&MCC 1-3, HBU 1-2. Tied teams did not play each other twice. Cannot break seeding tie.

e) If three (3) or more teams tie for a position, and if the teams combined to split their regular season games against one another, or if they played an uneven number of games against one another, then the tied teams' wonloss results against the next highestpositioned team(s) they all played twice shall be compared. This shall be continued through the final standings until one (1) team gains the advantage, thus the higher seed. SFA, A&MCC and HBU all played the following teams (in order of finish) twice: Vs. UIW: SFA: 1-1, A&MCC: 2-0; HBU 1-1; A&MCC wins seeding tiebreaker. A&MCC is No. 2 seed.

So, the bottom line is that our last-second loss to UIW is what eventually gives the #2 seed to AMCC, even though we did not lose to either AMCC or HBU. STUPID!

Absolute joke of a rule costs us an entire round. Terrible, god awful, very not good rule. But is what it is... on to Katy.

The SLC needs to re-think this stupid tie-break system before next season. But hopefully, we won't need it next year.

The only part I left out was the tie-break between SFA and HBU, which gives us the 3 seed.

If you're 3-0 against the two other teams you're tied with...you should be the higher seed. Period. So stupid. Just another dumb rule that goes in line with the conference tournaments. Too often mid-major conferences don't get their best team in the NCAA because they didn't win their conference tournament. Always hated it, always will.

But it's done. We deserve to be where we are. All we had to do was beat NWST at home, or a terrible McNeese team...and we're the #1 seed.

You're dead on Purple. I'm really caught between would it be good if we made the tournament as a play in...... participant,,,, insert vomit. Or go to the CBI with a chance to win a couple games

Better to go to the big tourney. That is the craziest tie breaking scenario that I have ever seen. We played more games against the other top three seeds than anyone else and had the best record. We had the toughest schedule. Not fair!
