I admittedly don't have a lot of confidence in us right now, but Sam is not playing well. Very big game.

The entire Top 8 for seeding is up in the air and will come down to the last day. UNO and Corpus will have completed their game before we start. HBU starts an hour later.

Yeah no guaranteed #2 seed. Pray UNO loses, and destiny is back in our hands. If they don't, better hope HBU stumbles but to me that's the least likely thing to happen this weekend. I think the SLC is about to release the official tiebreaker scenarios tonight. Hopefully it'll paint a more clear picture. It's a mess.

All that to say: We could be the #1 seed or #4 seed, all depending on what UNO does, if everyone else wins tomorrow.

Or if Corpus loses, then we'd have the head to head over HBU. It's the 3-way tie that screws us I think.

Actually, other way around I think. We should own the 1-on-1 against Corpus with our two wins, but lose against HBU because we only played them once and they swept Sam. Three-way would also screw us because all three of us play UIW twice and Corpus would sweep them if they were to win on Saturday. So basically, if UNO wins, HBU HAS to lose for us to get a double-bye.

Unofficially, of course. I'll gladly accept being wrong if the official tiebreakers come out and tell a different story.

I thought the one game head to head rule only came into play on a 3-way tie? A 2-way tie would be decided by head to head normally. Again, my head hurts.

We could also end up 5th with a loss and everyone above us wins.

I've been highly critical of Keller and what I perceive as a "lack of preparation" for games.

This is a game to prove me wrong. There should be ZERO excuse for lack of motivation or preparation.

I expect us to play our best and I expect our coaches to be at their best.

Not that it will have any bearing on anything, but RPI watch before final home game: 215.

Sam is at 185, so we might pull a couple spots with a win. Still winning out in Katy gets us just over 200. 16 seed is looking likely for all SLC teams. It would take a lot of one off conference upsets to rank a 15.

Also, I'm almost positive Ljacks has the pick em sowed up, but I would like to see if anyone else is in contention with a late charge.

I think a 16 seed for the SLC winner has been a sure thing for quite a while. I also think the SWAC champion (Texas Southern) could win our league this year. Shows how bad it is right now.

Belmont potential 13 seed lost in conference tournament year. I think best we could get is 16 non playing game. But I will be happy just to be in NCAA. Let's just see if we can win today. Go Nicholls

Ivan Canete is a liability on offense. Totally out of control, can't make a shot. Something just not right

I tend to agree. Someone posted a clip several days ago of him practicing threes. He was hitting everything from all over. I think it's a mental thing now.

I was very high on Canete earlier in the season.
I also thought he was freshman.
Knowing he's a junior and only has one year to improve makes me disappointed in him.

Weird thought, I'd almost want ACU to lose, so Northwestern is out and Nichols is in.

That NSU team could be scary

But the 2/3 seed difference is just too great.

Exactly right about Northwestern. With Woodley back, they're as good as anybody right now. Woodley had 25 tonight.

Agreed. NSU would be one of the scariest 8 seeds possible, but I got to take a double bye.

Got to say I'm pleased with tonight. Steady effort all night. No real ups or downs, just a consistent grind. Didn't put them away, but never let them lead. Well done Jacks.
