Johnson goes to the line by far more than any player in the WAC. He's all the offense UTRGV has right now.

Surprisingly he's a terrible ft shooter.

This is pretty wild to watch. Justin Johnson isn't even playing basketball. He's just running into people as fast as he can trying to get a foul.

At the U8 fouls are 27 SFA to 17 UTRGV.

Literally just running into traffic and taking his chances.

It's absolutely impossible to get into any kind of rhythm with this many fouls each and every time down the court.

Well rounded win. Solid effort. UTRGV announcers are solid.

Big win, shouldn't have even been a 10 point game. But we played well overall.

Big stretch to finish the season 4 of 7 at home.

SFA will get about .37 and GCU will lose .35 at Seattle potentially. That will put us about .65 away from them after tonight.

So what is the reasoning behind the point system to seed the tournament? Wins and losses no longer a thing? I'm sure it has been discussed but when they were discussing it on the telecast, I had to put my SFA math to good use. Math NOT being my strong suite as my extra attempt at college Algebra to graduate would attest.

In theory the seeding system is supposed to help pick top seeds that would look good to a selection committee for the NCAA tournament. Higher bids to get more tournament success.

However, while we're a one bid league, the likelihood of our seeds being something besides a 12-14 seed is remote. I feel like choosing a team with more conference losses to be a top seed is not really a good look. It's not really going to have that much ultimate impact.

Tarleton next. Fortunately (maybe) Tarleton is shaky on the road. Maybe we can make a little run. I'd be happy if we went 4-2 over these next 6. 5-1 , ecstatic.

Yes. He finally looked like he belongs. Strong rebounder.
