The #DriveforFive has come down to this! At least for now. Essentially a must win Thursday night for the Jacks to have any real hope of a 5th straight conference title. They would still have work after this game, but if they are two games back with three to go, UNO would have to have a Sam Houston level of collapse to give us a shot. (Feels good to type "Sam Houston level of collapse")

SFA and UNO are on 4 game winning streaks. Their last mutual opponent, SELA, they both beat 60-52. Thomas is their offensive juggernaut, and he's averaging 20 points a game. We handled them at home the first time around with a wicked team defense that was mainly a retracted zone. We forced them to try and beat us from the wings, and they couldn't.

Keys for me: shutting down Thomas again, winning the inside game, and somebody for the love of God scoring in the first five minutes. This could be a grind, but I think we have the potential to put them away. No better way to say we're back on top than by a decisive win in the Crescent City.

I think defensively we've been somewhat consistent. It is going to come down to the offense. Making some 3s will probably help us.

I think we have some good match ups in this one. Frankly that's how we dominated them in Nac for about 2/3 of the game. I'm not very confident in this team but if Cannette and Ty shoot well we should be alright.

Yes. SLC attendance is awful. The only two that draw are SFA and Lamar. Sammie for all the boast and brags averages just over a thousand. And they have the best record in the league. Crazy. We are well below our standards (over the past 5-6 years) and are still averaging 3300. With two solid home games left.... my guess is that we end up around 3600 with the closest being Lamar at 2000.

Officiating isn't really terrible for SLC, but SFA is playing rough lately. We keep driving into the teeth of their zone instead of taking the outside shot. Maybe that's the plan, but it's not working yet. This is when we need to close off of this 15 point deficit.
