Lamar lost pretty bad to HBU this past weekend (was 15 point game most of the night). Not sure what to take from it. They shot 56% from the field and drained 13 threes. While HBU was 35-43 from the line, goodness.

Either way, Lamar is much better than they have been. Don't think we can afford a slow first half this time.

Only saw the end of their game against Sam, other than that I don't know a lot about them.

I know they were super young last year with a lot of talent, but unable to put it together. Seems like they are on to something now. Still, we have this at home, which should bode well for us. Then again, I'm sure Sam thought the same thing...

everything is lined up perfectly for us to win the title, we just have to be consistent for a few games. It all going to come down to our road form.

Everything is lined up for us to win IF we get win three-straight road games. I'd love to believe that'll happen but...

I'm going with Keller at this point - let's focus on the game before us. There have been so many slip ups around the league this year. I know we have the potential to win all the games ahead, but I want to see what we saw last Thursday (at least the second half) duplicated this Thursday.

In last night's radio show, Coach said he thought Jovan would play more minutes. He's apparently trying to get our big men more active after Nieminen's feet gave out. I don't really have much hope for either Jovan or Huntley this year, but the more playing time this year, the better next year.

How many games did Niemenen appear in? Is he eligible for a medical redshirt? I think 10 games is the cutoff point for medical redshirts, right?

Never mind. I just saw that he played in 12 games. Over the limit.

Yeah, the only thing I couldn't tell from the interview is if this is an ongoing issue with Samuli or if they feel like he will be back at full health next year.

Jovan has actually looked competent lately in the paint. While he isn't an All-American, at this level, it is hard to find someone his size with any kind of skill. Guys like that normally don't end up in a mid-major.

Anything we can do to keep our players fresh over the next few weeks will be huge. Lamar will be no pushover, and this is a much bigger game than many give it credit for. Lamar just nipping at our heels in the standings and is coming off of a HUGE win at Sam. Definitely need to focus in there.

After that, we have a brutal three game road swing. While I liked our plan in Nac, it is hard to believe that UNO will shoot that badly at home too. Maybe they will, but we will need to be tighter on the perimeter I think.

Southeastern is fading, but could be a classic trap game.

UCA is the game that scares me the most. It is the final of a three-game swing. They are dynamic on offense, and we are on the road, where we are far from dynamic. Maybe UCA turns it in for the year by time we get there, and determine there is nothing left to play for. Then again, a team with nothing to play for can be the most dangerous.

I actually feel pretty good about NWST and Sam at home to end the year, as long as we are healthy and as fresh as can be...

Student movement is beginning. If you're in attendance for the remaining games, be prepared, AND don't be scared to join in. We're going for constant noise on defense.

I'm disappointed that there's no prediction contest on this one. I was going to crush the competition and move to the top of the ladder tonight!

Decent start, but we're still not getting separation when we build the little leads. Let's finish the half strong.

we need a better second half. need to take more 3s, Sam down 14 with 2 minutes to go. come on jacks

We're now 0-35 on last second possessions. I swear we have no clue how to handle end of half scenarios.

And yes I say this every game.

Lamar is pushing the ball up as much as possible and doing a great job on parameter defense. We're 0-4 from 3.

Side note, our students are being out done by a Lamar section that traveled to Nac. I'm at a loss with this section. They're too busy on twitter crying and whining because I asked why they don't stand up anymore (like they always did). Kids these days man. They think anything and everything is an insult to them.

I'll be damned.

Here we are, just a game back. I'll admit, I didn't think we would have a chance at a regular season title.

Yet, it's right there.

Not pretty at times, but it all counts the same.

3 game roadie about to determine the season.

Did what we had to do at home. Ty had a double double with 5 assists, and we do play better when he's playing good. Heavy dose of starters plus Kevon. Holyfield looked strong and Harris is going to be so good as he gets better. Untimely cramp for Canete at the end of the game, but hopefully he didn't pull it.
nacluth
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Yeah. I think if you told people at the beginning of the year - all we had to do to have an odds on chance for another ring is go on the road to beat SE La, UNO, and UCA, I think everyone would take that in a heartbeat. Seems tough now.

I was unable to watch on TV. How big was the crowd? In the one photo posted it looked pretty good in the reserved section.

"On the road again ... " I don't know if we can do it (fingers crossed). If we can be in 2nd place with the way we have played this year, imagine next season when these guys are one year old and we have Mack ,Shannon and fisher

How long do you want to ignore this user?
It was better than half. Energy not quite as good as last time with smaller crowd, but it was ok. Final two games at home should be packed. Cram the Coliseum for NWST and Purple Out for Sam.

Sorry about the lack of prediction contest tonight. That's on me. Had a couple logistics issues this week which is also why we've been a little short on content this week. Shouldn't happen again.

Good win tonight. It's nice to be on this side of a big scoreless drought/run like we forced/had mid-second half. We won the game in those 5 minutes.

Audio is up and more post-game stuff will be as well tomorrow.

RPI Watch: 224. Win, say, 5 in a row and we'll probably meet our preseason ranking.
