Jovan has actually looked competent lately in the paint. While he isn't an All-American, at this level, it is hard to find someone his size with any kind of skill. Guys like that normally don't end up in a mid-major.
Anything we can do to keep our players fresh over the next few weeks will be huge. Lamar will be no pushover, and this is a much bigger game than many give it credit for. Lamar just nipping at our heels in the standings and is coming off of a HUGE win at Sam. Definitely need to focus in there.
After that, we have a brutal three game road swing. While I liked our plan in Nac, it is hard to believe that UNO will shoot that badly at home too. Maybe they will, but we will need to be tighter on the perimeter I think.
Southeastern is fading, but could be a classic trap game.
UCA is the game that scares me the most. It is the final of a three-game swing. They are dynamic on offense, and we are on the road, where we are far from dynamic. Maybe UCA turns it in for the year by time we get there, and determine there is nothing left to play for. Then again, a team with nothing to play for can be the most dangerous.
I actually feel pretty good about NWST and Sam at home to end the year, as long as we are healthy and as fresh as can be...
