SFA (6-2, 2-0) vs. Incarnate Word (5-5, 2-1)
WHEN: JAN 16 (SAT) 6:30P.M.
WHERE: McDermott Center (San Antonio, TX)
WATCH: https://portal.stretchinternet.com/uiw/
The Lumberjacks are looking for their first road win of the 2020-21 season. Tonight, they will have the chance to do it against the Cardinals of Incarnate Word.
UIW is having an up and down season which is to be expected with virtually all underclassmen on the team. Keaston Willis (So, 6' 3", G) is their one real playmaker. He is backed up by a host of freshmen and sophomores like Drew Lutz (So, 6' 1", G) who had a career game against us last year in San Antonio.
The Cardinals are quick and fast and can shoot the three. They are hitting about 48% from behind the arc in conference play and they do not foul.
The Jacks will be tested against this young team. Controlling the flow of the game and remaining physical despite calls going against us will be key. Foul imbalance could help UIW stay in it, and 10 point leads are not safe with their outside attack. Guard defense will be crucial as well as getting what we want offensively inside.
Another game to overcome hurdles and build confidence going deeper into the conference slate. It could be tight all the way or it could be like last week. Tune in tonight to cheer on the Jacks.
