Well they have played 1 game vs highly ranked Miss St and lost 88-58. They shot 31% FG and 37.5% 3 ptr.
They have 9 seniors on the roster. They went 18-10 last year but went 16-2 in winning the SWAC.
They had 3 girls who averaged 13 pts a game last year so watch out for Hamer, Rogan, and Williams as likely their top players. Likely a defensive oriented team....their game pt avg was 68-63 and they outrebounded opposition for the season 1267-1062. Williams is 6'4" and blocked 81 shots last year.

They were 1-2 against SLC last season. The two losses were by a combined seven points. They will be very competitive. Mississippi State is comfortably a top ten team in the country. In addition to the Jackson State win, they beat UNO by 55. Losing to them by 30 is not that bad in women's basketball where the top ten are way better than those down the list.
This game could be uncomfortable if we don't take care of the ball and shoot well.

Exactly. I was just thinking today that if we're ever going to reclaim a home court advantage, there needed to be a lot more yelling going on.
I'll be yelling tomorrow night at WRJ but at home tonight.
Well my meeting isnt until 8, so I can watch now!

Think 76 is right, going to be a tough game tonight. Usually when we play a SWAC team we think easy win but think JSU plays pretty tough.
Big body #30 is winning the position battle down low. We have to be crisp on passing.

Yes!! Better than majority of NFL games I've seen this season
My momma always said if you don't have anything nice to say about someone don't say it but this dude that is doing the game on tv is just not good at all!
I don't know why but with Bri on the court we were about -10 compared to Banfield. She did hit that last shot though.

Four points, 2 rebounds, three turnovers in 7 minutes. Not the same player the last two years.
A sloppy first half by SFA. JSU has some good shooters, and as someone said, they are controlling the inside game. I don't feel comfortable at all with this slim lead.
Different subject, just wondering... Is Maria Semenichenko ever going to see the floor in her years at SFA? I don't recall ever seeing her on the court last year, and obviously nothing this year. I hate to be negative about any SFA player in any sport, but why is she on scholarship?
