Squandering chances in this one so far. Holyfield had two chances to put us ahead midway through the first - missed three free throws. Open shots to take the lead everyone's missing.
First lead comes 12:30 in on a Kevon drive.
I think clearly we are better, but it's Going to stay close because we continue to blow layups and give them WIDE open shots.
37-35 our way at the half. We should reasonably be about 10 points more than that. Cameron playing great with 13 in the first half. That has to be his career half. TJ decent, Ivan sitting with fouls. Kevon played strong in his minutes. Still dumb turnovers need to get cleaned up.
NWST got two technicals in the half. They got the scoring skills though.

Slowly wresting control of this game
both teams went like 5 minutes without a single point. Boy Im glad we play in the southland
We've missed at least a dozen point blank shots within 3-5 feet!! Frustrating.

Exactly Ed, I've never seen a team miss so many point blanks, layups etc. It's frustrating as it has cost us chances to put some distance in the score....not just in this game.

"We are clearly better" seems to come up every other game..... I really have my doubts. We probably have more talent but the score says otherwise.

Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good. We were VERY lucky at the end. A win is a win.....

Of course I had to leave for a party when we had a 7 point lead and looked to control the game. Oh well, I guess it saved me some heartburn.

I had date night with the wife, at the terrific Olive Garden. By the way never ending pasta is fantastic.

Boy, this is a Tale of Two Teams. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. I honestly don't know who TJ is yet. Not sure he knows. I get so bummed out watching these guys some of the time, but other times they really excite me. I still think that we are going to be damn good next year and even better the year after.

With about a minute left in OT, an NSU guy hit a trey prayer from about 35 feet a second before the shot clock expired. Cameron hit a trey on the other end. NSU missed with about 7 seconds left, SFA got the ball and raced down the court, one ugly pass and one pretty one to Charles who then hit a layup with 1.7 seconds left. NSU threw the ball down the court and an NSU guy barely missed a trey from the corner at the buzzer that would have won it for the bad guys.
WE WUZ LUCKY.
I hope we don't need luck in the remaining games because we cashed in all of our lucky chips today.

Wow, what a crazy last hour. I thought we were going to blow that and continue our road woes. We not only pull it off, but SLU and Sam just fell as well. Oh my.

Really frustrating game. I think I used every curse word in the book. Really didn't think we were going to win. Somehow we are still in the title race. Thank you southland and ACU. That ACU loss doesn't look so bad now. Nah it still does!! 
Just happy we won. Don't even want to think about our next road game.

Man thats was nuts. Cameron nearly cost us the game at the end but then redeemed himself later with a 3 pointer. This was an ugly game. No team should be okay with the performance of that game, but we made it happen at the end. We won the game by an open court play, where this team usually would turn the ball over. That was growth.

We don't get to be picky on the road. Not right now anyway. HUGE win. We keep taking punches and somehow when all is said and done, we still control our own destiny. That's a big deal. Audio going up now, will have thoughts on Sam and NSU up tomorrow.

Not that lucky. That 3-ball they threw up with nothing on the shot clock - THAT was lucky. Fact that they managed that and we still won shouldn't be overlooked. Just rewatched the last 25 minutes, I'm still amazed at how our guys can make unbelievable moves sometimes and then play flat for so long. Gilmore starts this game with two medium to long range jumpers that fall and then passes almost every ball from inside 10'. He had buckets for the taking. He's playing great and getting in great position, but he's got to finish. But hey, it wasn't the 40 point win we hung on them last time, but it counts the same on the sheet. We're back where we started this week. Drive for five is still alive.

I was confused on some of the minutes yesterday. Why did Traylor only get 6 minutes? Why did Grujic play the majority of the first half (18 min total)? When Canete sits himself with stupid fouls, and Traylor doesn't come in there's very little 3-point threat other than Dallas.
Huntley played great in the first half of the Sam game, got very few minutes in the second half and only 1 minute yesterday. Compared to most games Grujic played above average yesterday, but he doesn't bring anything to the game on both ends of the floor, still constantly losing his man on defense.

I agree on all counts, especially on why Traylor doesn't play more. He's one of our best outside shooters. And as you say, Gru brings absolutely nothing on the offensive end.
The audio piece Isaac got from Keller made it sound like Jovan follows instructions. Sounds like while Huntley is coming along, he isn't doing what the coach wants as much. Traylor wasn't having the best yesterday, but you're on point about a 3 point threat.
Yeah the rotation was limited in this game. Huntley played well in the first half of the Sam game. Traylor did get an open shot at the top of the key after some good ball movement, and completely skipped the shot and drove into a charge. Maybe that is why the coach pulled him.
Charles obviously has lost confidence shooting the ball. He skipped many open shots, and I think that does us no favors, making us completely one-dimensional. He was successful in the past because his role was clearly to be a shooting guard. that would pull the trigger on open good quality shots. Now he has to be more of a play-maker and I think the added attention has messed with his game.
Ivan is aggressive on defense, but is sloppy. He still needs his game to grow in that regard.
