This is round 1of the Sawmill Prediction Contest (sponsorship still available!) You do not want to miss out on any game this year!

It is a very simple contest, just copy and paste what I have below between the two lines and fill in your prediction including the tiebreaker. The tiebreaker will occasionally change so be aware and make sure to check it. In order to determine the winner I will take the difference between your prediction of the SFA points and their actual points. Then I will take the difference of your prediction of the opponents points and their actual points. I will then add them together and determine the outcome. If you choose the wrong winner, you will be assessed a penalty which will be the worst score of those that chose the right winner.

The closest prediction will receive 10 points and then so on (2nd gets 9, 3rd gets 8...). If you have a perfect prediction, you will receive an 8 points bonus! I will do my best to have the scores posted within the next day of the game but no guarantees.

Since I got egged while running around SFA last night, the tiebreaker for this game is how many eggs my breakfast loving family has in the fridge at tipoff. Good luck!

Round One Standings!

A shake it out kind of game that saw a lot of predictions that were decently close to the actual score. Makes me think that the game pretty much turned out as predicted. sfajack05 was the big winner this round. sfa17 and I correctly guessed SFA's score in game 1 (ouch, just injured myself patting my back). At least Ed is behind me, and all is right with the world. Glad to have 18 competitors in Round 1, but there's plenty of time to get your friends to play too. Trying to settle a big name sponsor, so you're not going to want to miss out!

So Monday night I was running with my brother around the campus, when as we were going by the tennis courts on Wilson Dr. I hear someone yelling from a moving car. I glance over just in time to see something streaking toward me and drill my inner left thigh. Instantly the yolk of the thrown egg explodes all over my right leg. It caught me by so much surprise that my brother and I never broke stride. Just kept on running.

I was bemused at the time, but I could see that's not exactly a good look for those kids or the university. My justification for them is that at night I typically wear day-glo colors so that, instead of eggs, cars to drill me. This particular night, I was wearing fluorescent orange. I felt like in a pique of school spirit the students were probably justified in egging what in the split second looked like a Sam Houston fan. Because of this, I harbor no ill will, and I understand the sentiment. And, I had a clean dozen eggs at tip off.
