Makai Frisby is a game changer.

Well, the good news is that SFA did not play their best game today---no running game at all---and still comes away with a strong win on the scoreboard.
Now they can focus on Lamar next week. Will need a complete effort, hitting on all cylinders to stay undefeated.

Tarleton comes from behind in the last three minutes and beats Eastern Kentucky 28-24. They play ACU next week for the UAC title, and ACU is playing well right now.

If we weren't playing for a title next week I'd be glued to that game.
That being said if we beat Lamar, we clinch the SLC title. So let's go ahead and do that.
I'm putting it in this thread now. If you live anywhere near Beaumont Tx, as in its driving distance, get your ass to Beaumont. We need to will our Lumberjacks to a title next Saturday!

Honestly watching it in person. We did play actually pretty well but we had no solution to get a successful run game going. But that's a good thing in my eyes. That makes you pivot and think it a new way to attack and we did just that. Football is all about adapting and not doing the same stuff over and over again.
Defense showed up. Special teams did great. (Besides the two odd choices the onside and rekick). Offense once we started to spread out the pass game we started to open up the run game a little bit.

As I look through those stats, it absolutely amazes me on the number of underclassmen that are accumulating some amazing stats. Carthel has been harping lately about having a developmental program. These numbers are confirmation of that claim. The Jacks are very good this year, but it would appear, just based on stats and gained experience by probable returners, that they'll be even better next year.
It's a long, long, long way off, and I don't want to put the cart before the horse, but it wouldn't surprise me if we start the 2027 season in the #1 position in the FCS polls.
