I listened to a tiny bit of the Lamar radio broadcast (Beaumont station) and that guy said their starter got hurt in the 3rd quarter.

He has a hurt shoulder for a couple of weeks now. Most likely would have started if not for that.

When was Vidlak benched? Consensus, such as it is from friends, reliable sources, water cooler talk has Vidlak with some sort of injury. The proof of that would be Vidlak not starting for 2 weeks now. He appeared for a few plays while Gavin appeared to return from the locker room about the 2nd or 3rd play led by Vidlak. After Vidlak's pass attempt that was almost a pic in the end zone. Gavin returned to game.
If Vidlak was benched that would be previously unknown and undisclosed info.

Yeah. Agree. Definitely not benched. They're for sure waiting as long as they can to give him a chance to be as healthy as possible. We won't see him again until the playoffs.

Rutherford has exceeded expectations and has played very well. He stepped up when SFA needed him. And I mean absolutely 0 disrespect to Gavin. I think he will be a phenomenal long term QB and he's proven that. But it's not a question that Vidlak is our guy for this year.
