Alright. We will need to go into the portal for a new QB next year. Gavin is not playing well. Still no clue where Vidlak is but I'm very disappointed if they chose to rest him with the playoffs on the line.

Seems a little pretentious to start our second string QB if Vid is not hurt or there's some disciplinary reason. If this is some strategy, are we going to start the Lumberjack mascot against NSU?

My guess is that Vidlak has some kind of injury. Hopefully not serious. Can't imagine they would not start him otherwise.....then bring in Rutherford later.

We do know from past experience that if Vidlak has any kind of injury, SFA is not going to announce it.

Vidlak's wearing a ball cap. Does not look like a player who's going to play...

Well, for all the angst, concern, questions and legitimate interest in why and where is Vidlak
Jacks have a comfortable 29-3 lead at the half.

The only thing in question at this point appears to be if Carthel will tell us in post game presser why Vidlak didn't play.

One thing Rutherford does that Vidlak can't is to run. Has run for 3 first downs today.

That said, the change of QBs today does have the offense looking out of sync at times and several penalties which have been pretty rare this season.

Man, I hope that's right. We're a different offense without him. I wasn't paying attention during warmps to see if he was throwing.

Gavin has really looked much better as the game progressed. If he works on his passing mechanics he will be very good next year.

Glad to see Kitna get the score. He always seems to be engaged in the game.
Quite possibly next year's Starter.

Rutherford another nice TD pass. Not being the regular starter he did have a slow start with a few bad passes but has gotten more rhythm as game progressed. 43-3

If they aren't on the same field at the same time. It is allowed.

I am liking Rutherford more and more. He has passed well after a slow start, and he's a bruising runner. Definitely gives SFA another dimension. Irrespective of why the coach decided to sit out his starter, I think it was a good decision. Have a capable backup with some good game experience can do nothing but help.

Kitna gets his first TD pass. First guys to greet him on the sidelines--Vidlak and Rutherford.

Great win with the backup QBs in. SELU in a battle with Lamar. Could be good.

Hey its me again, and I know I have been very critical at times, and rightfully so!! However, I think we have FINALLY turned a corner in FOOTBALL, and could make a deep run in the playoffs! All of the backup QB's played well and seem to understand the offense! Rutherford looked great.
On another note, it seems the University as a whole is finally headed in the right direction, with the right leadership in place!
Hopefully Carthel will get the "I'm Stayin" thing going before the end of the season so we can keep the momentum going for next year!!
