Credit where its due that's a great catch,

ELM and Tony Diaz are a dangerous combo. Glad we've shut them down until then.

Damn we're already pulling starters.

Ill take some Rutherford action. Guy needs to learn to throw the ball a bit better. Especially past 20+ yards and not so high up.

Looks like Rutherford's arm is quite a bit improved from a year ago.

Happy I can eat my own words.

Great catch by Wayland. 41-10

Jacks haven't punted all night.

I hate to say anything negative, but the backups playing on the OL right now are not doing a very good job of blocking anyone.

Well, so much for my previous observation....
SCH890

That was not targeting. I hate targeting rule so much.
Ljacks&Longnecks
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Weak targeting call---only thing I can think is that he looked like leading with shoulder although a late slide as pointed out by Meyers.

Pretty much. Should not be a targeting. Its such a dumb rule sometimes. At least its against HCU.

#3 for UTRGV is running all over our backup defense guys. Possibly their starter next year.

Kitna in at QB. I think he stands a good chance vs Rutherford in a battle for next season starter.

One thing I like about Kitna is that he seems very engaged on the sidelines knowing this year his role is number 3. Would like to see him in action passing but will gladly wait til next season to see it...don't need injuries this year.

Total yardage right now 446-215.
SFASawmillGuy
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Total domination. That was a massive statement win by our guys. If we can come out firing like that every game, we can go toe to toe with the top of the FCS.

That was satisfying. Early haymakers from the boys.

Welcome to the varsity level Vaqueros.

Great Presser. Good PoV on the targeting call.

Outside of the last 4-5 minutes, the most complete performance of the year. Thorough, swarming, impactful defense. Offense was efficient. Accurate.

I am very impressed by those two players. Both are very intelligent and well-spoken.

Interesting that the UT System Chancellor was there. He got a 2-for-1 game, UTRGV and SFA. I wonder if he was housed at Motel 6 while in town...

Good presser. Both athletes seemed genuine and focused. Glad to see the nod for Cally Belcher day and his family.
Carthel was spot on with his remarks. Glad to see he was a bit disappointed with the yards and points allowed in the 2nd half while heavily praising all aspects of the team overall and especially in the first half.
Keep focused and push on. SFA alone controls our destiny for the regular season. Win out and at worst share conference title with SELA.

We will be heavy favorites in the last 3. If any of those 3 could be a "trap" game, that would be next week at HCU. Coming off a huge win--can not overlook anyone.

Our backups in the second half were not good. Carhel couldn't specifically say that, obviously. Portal time after the season, especially on the lines. Wouldn't be surprised if we go after a high level QB, too.

BTW, if there's a trap game it will be the Lamar game, IMO.

SFA defense with 3 games remaining

76 TFL, 25 sacks, 9 INT's, 31 BU, 59 QBH, 11 FR, 8 FF, 1 BLK (2025)
