Just went through the game thread. Folks hate black uniforms, the announcers, the camera angles, the audio, and downplay the win because it was against a North America type team (ignoring that UNC lost last week to ACU on a last second 54 yard field goal.) Beyond that, it appears that Carthel and Ross get to keep their jobs for one more week.

What did I miss?

The cheese on my nachos was cold, the soda was flat, my seat was dirty, and the old lady in front of me could not stop farting. I think she had Tourettes...kept blurting out PUDDING! PUDDING! every couple minutes or so.

I know there's something else I forgot, so I'll get back to you as soon as I remember.

76-Per the broadcast, at the beginning the lead announcer sounded like he was broadcasting from inside a tin can. That appeared to have been adjusted later in game. As for their announcing "style" I just don't care for it. That's simply a point of personal preference.

Others can address the uniforms, I'm more concerned about the level of play on the field which last night was top notch.

Board was very quiet last night. Guessing (1) folks had other plans going on, (2)a few have already given up and (3) those that were waiting to pounce on Carthel had no opportunity.

I was waiting for us to stumble. Therefore, very little on the board. But I feel like the team that started in Lake Charles, had the finishing kick that I had hoped for.

Northern Colorado is not good. That being said, they almost beat an Abilene Christian team that's solid. I really liked the look of our receivers. We seemed to get open on almost any kind of route. Expected to see a little more screen play. All in all I'd rate the passing game a A- The only thing I didn't see that I wanted to see was a perfectly thrown post pattern.

The running game controlled the pace. I wanted to see more explosives We had the 72 yard run by Jenkins. Other than that I think our longest was 24 yards. B+.

Defense. I'm not going to rate individual units…. Suffice it to say they looked really good across the board. Especially that run stopping up front. Only the one sweep by UNC at the beginning of the 3rd quarter, did we make an obvious mistake. A-

I don't remember the broadcast ever being this bad in the past couple years… even in the less popular sports. I know there were changes in our broadcasting department but I'm super disappointed in the people they hired. Seems like they don't have any of the same announcers from previous years. What a shame for a D1 school.

I watched the entire game in our media room. The audio started off a little distorted, but cleaned up relatively fast.
The camera angles were not that bad in my opinion. I am not sure what was so bad???
The motion was very jerky a good deal of the time. The color also was off quite a bit - more than a few times. It would correct itself, then go awry again. Audio never sounded clear to me at all.

Whoever is conducting the interviews now is doing a very good job. Doesn't sound like the typical "just graduated from college somewhere" interviewer. Very professional, and asks good, pointed questions.

BTW, Carthel mentioned that the Jacks started two freshmen on the O-line. Good job by those guys. They will grow up fast.

Yes, they are definitely trying multiple linemen, looking for that right combo.

Adams has played center, guard, and tackle.

This was the starting OL for the game.

I honestly don't hate the black uniforms. The broadcasting side of things though… rough.

The team executed at a high level, which was good to see. It was nice to not see any major coaching errors. But then again, with us winning by that much, coaching errors will not be as noticeable. I am still not 100% confident that when a game comes down to crunch time, coaching will put us in a position to win.

Overall, dominant performance by coaches and staff. Onto the next!

14jacks, I am just bring an old stick-in-the-mud about the black uniforms. I know it's something the kids like to wear. I just don't care for it. Stuck in tradition. I've always respected schools that resist trends and stick to their traditional uniform look (Alabama, Penn State, USC, Texas). "This is our brand, we are who we are and our community is more than OK with that," they seem to be saying to me. Like I said, I'm trapped in tradition...

We had some injuries up front that contributed to the shuffling around. I remember hearing during the broadcast that only one or two O-line starters practiced all week leading up to UNC. Hopefully we can get healed up on the bye week.
