Meh. They didn't know the difference between an RPO and a read option. But compared to our announcers, they are premium draft whereas ours are beer in a can.

One thing I've noticed is that throwing to the tight end the last 3-4 weeks has given defenses something extra to think about and plan for, which has taken some of the pressure off of the wideouts. We didn't do much of that at all against SMU, UTEP, and UTSA.

Aune was injured early this season and Levar is a true fr.. Now Aune is healthy and Lindo has some game experience.. I have always liked Lindo from last years class.. this kid has pro like size and skill set.. 6-5 athletic, can stretch a defense from the TE position, ran the 100 and 200 in HS.. Coach Stoner will have this young man right where he needs to be body weight and such. He can blockand good at setting the edge..

I figured as much. The coaching staff hasn't been ignorant to the fact tight ends can catch the ball too. With the way they're coaching/playing now, you have to think earlier in the year the limited play calling was a result of inexperience and injury. These are championship coaches.

Last note, if you hop over to the EKU forums they have absolutely nothing but respect for SFA. They complimented everything about not just our football program but our athletics in general, citing our win against Duke.

SFA is becoming a brand people are respecting, and schools at our level will begin to fear.

From the same message that mentions the Duke win:

".not going to waste time with SFA's budget, etc., but-I suspect
they have assets we can't touch."

"This is one we weren't going to win. SFA has the $$$ to fly
up and get a win and go home."

Nope. Pretty comparable budgets actually. For now.

Love the win yesterday. Best all around game I have seen SFA play in a long time. I'm tapping the brakes on any unbridled enthusiasm. There is a long way to go. EKU's QB was bad. We created a lot of that, but he was bad. We put the ball on the ground five times, losing three. That will lose a lot of games.

It's coming. It's not here ... yet.

Feeling pretty good about going into Memphis and pulling off an upset against the Tigers.

They struggled against a very bad 1-6 South Florida team yesterday, having to come from behind late to win it by one.

But first, bring on the Gorillas!

I want to play UCA so bad to conclude this season!
SFA vs. UCA in Shreveport LA. at the Independence Bowl would be a cherry on top.

Memphis St will be a hard win.. We will have to be on the top of our game and have some good luck... They are as talented if not more talented than SMU.. One game at a time... I can guarantee tho our team will compete their tails off against Memphis... It will not be easy for them and they might just overlook us...
SFASawmillGuy
How long do you want to ignore this user?
We are certainly a different team from the one who played SMU. Defensively we are much better. Offensively we have new dimensions and may have found ways to extend drives instead of giving it back so early.
I think we give Memphis fits. We need to work on staying in position to win the entire game. Don't let up, but don't get stupid against them.
