Thanks for including those scores, 93. It demonstrates just how close every game has been after we played still unbeaten Baylor. Even the -18 with Nicholls was much closer than that. We played the two remaining undefeated SLC teams (Nicholls and Prison Tech) almost to a standstill.

Just curious, do you think Pace will play out the season or will he play three more and then sit to retain a year of eligibility? I assume he has a redshirt year remaining. It sure would be nice to have his experience and leadership for a full season next year.

And I still wonder why Carl Williams has not made more of an impact. He was the most ballyhooed player we've signed in a while. Health issues, perhaps?

And a guy that never gets mentioned is Alex Schrag. His kickoffs into the endzone have been fantastic and have undoubtedly prevented lots of return yardage.

I think Williams has been battling injuries all season.

That would be nice if Pace came back for a full season, but like Coach Carthel said at the beginning of the season, Who determines if you redshirt? You do.

So we will have to wait and see what Tamrick decides for himself.

And yep very close to that record being flipped from 1-5 to 5-1

A very tough road ahead of us, but if, and that's a huge IF, we manage to sweep the rest of our schedule and finish 7-5, do we sneak into the playoffs like Lamar did last season? Technically we're not out of the conference title race so it's possible.
As for Pace, if he shows out the final 6 games like he's capable of that's his NFL contract. So would it be worth it to him to risk injury playing another season?

Any word on what the injury actually was?

I would guess it was a concussion. I know we have some very exciting players, however fielding the kickoffs at the goal line and running them out is not the smarter play. Take the ball at the 25 and live for the next week. One thing I noticed about sam was there men came to tackle and hit you hard, which they did. There defensive line guys are specimen and are a load. I love our defensive line too, we just wore down from being leaned on all night. But we continue to get better every week, Pace puts a charge in the offense. But as our luck goes he may be gone a few weeks in protocol.
