I want two things out of this game:

1. Come away healthy. These money games are great for the bottom line, but can take a huge toll on a team.

2. I want to see player development. I want to see if we have gotten better. There wasn't a lot of that under the previous regime, and I want to see an improved roster.

You will get your wishes cboothe there is no doubt about your #2. #1 I agree stay away from injuries but the injury bug can bite at anytime even in non contact drills... I am excited to see them compete.. Get this game out of the way and all other games are winnable.. Tarleton State is gonna be a tough one tho... If Ward is our RB then we really have a good chance this year. He is a difference maker..

For the first time in a long time I'm excited about SFA football.

I like the energy, the excitement, and the involvement with the fans/school/community/etc he has brought to the team.

Isn't Ward out for the season?

He is on the roster... and they have been pretty good with keeping that thing current... He hasnt been ruled out for the season I know that for sure.. He adds two wins to our season if eligible..

And BTW, a couple of you are saying how good our new Ward can/will be. Are you basing that on what he did at Tech or on what you've seen him do in camp?

Coach Carthel's press conference was really good. I liked what he said about playing to win this Saturday. He made it clear that he has realistic expectations, but saying that we're gonna try to be in the game at the start of the 4th quarter was something I liked to hear. I don't know, just a little confidence in the way he was speaking made me confident we're gonna at the very least gonna have some impressive moments.

I based my comment on what coaches told me..If he is in the line up then our season will have 2 more wins.. He had a 200+ Yd game against OU and has shown some serious flashes in practice.. And has absolutely busted his ass to be eligible academically.. Kid has done everything coach has asked him to do..

It bothers me to no end we don't have actual replica jersey's.

At first I thought the same thing.... cheap. But after looking at it a few times it grew on me.
