OK! Winning in Katy is the only thing that can save this season.thus far it has been a gross underachievement. Keller did say before the season that injuries was the only thing that could derail this team and keep it from winning the conference championship.. That has not been the case. Injuries has not what has caused our demise. Who now should take the blame?

Can't disagree with your disappointment. But for me, it has been a season of gross over expectations. 18-0, what is our NCAA seeding going to be? - those expectations were a result of non-conference showings that turned out to be wins and close games against mediocre teams.

Isn't it amazing that when the Jacks shoot 50+% then Coach K is a great coach, but when the Jacks shoot 40-% then Coach K is a terrible coach?? Hmmm.... Almost makes one wonder if maybe, just maybe, how well the team shoots the ball in each game has something to do with his "coaching abilities"...

SFA is 15-1 at home this year. How many other teams in America are 15-1 at home?? We are about 30-2 at home over the last two years. How many other teams in America are 30-2 at home during that time? Probably NONE.

In this interview, and in Coach Cox's post-game radio interview the other night, they both gave credit to Lamar for a well-played and well-coached game. Why is it so hard for some people to understand that and be able to give praise where it's due, even if it's for the other team? I was at the game, and Lamar was the better team on that particular night. They hit their shots when they needed to and we did not. That's the bottom line. Are they the better team overall than SFA? IMO, absolutely not! I'm grateful that we have experienced professionals like Coach K and Coaches Cox, Mason, and Haymon coaching our guys.

Do I want the Jacks to win? Sure, every game. Do I think that's possible? No, absolutely not. So everyone just needs to be positive and support the Jacks in every game from here on out. Get to the game on Wednesday. Make an effort to get to the tournament in Katy. I'll be there every day. I challenge everyone reading this to get there for at least one of the games. The Jacks need and deserve our support.

Axe 'em, Jacks!

We are poor three point defenders. We are constantly out of position on defense. We are too dependent on our shooting abilities. The teams that we have lost to did it with defense except for Central Arkansas. We have players on offense who try to do too much by themselves. We do not have zip zip zip passing which causes us to not get the good shots in some games. We dribble the ball too much and we also go for the steal way too often. Our half court defense is mediocre at best. You can blame those problems on whatever you choose but it looks a whole lot like a coaching problem to me.

Those two stats are good, but you can't just use that and say we are doing good. What matters is "are we the best team in the conference, are we conference champions and are we going to NCAA. The first two are gone. Now all we have Katy.

I'm keller neutral but pro sfa. Whoever the coach is, at the end of the day it is temporary (positive departure or negative) . But till the day I die I will be a Sfa alumni.
I think everyone on this forum is disappointed with were we are right now. High or low expectations, I'm sure everyone thought we would win the season title.

Just hope we get it done Katy.

When you are at the level that we are as a mid-major success is measured pretty much by two things. Winning the conference and going to the NCAA tournament is essential. We will have this discussion again after the tournament but we have underachieved to this point. Keller said from day one that we are the best team in the league. Sounds like a broken promise to me. I am an SFA alum as well and as much money as we pay our head coach we should demand a lot. So far we haven't gotten that. Hopefully things will change because if it doesn't we are stuck with Keller for several years. I'm 71 and I don't have forever to wait. I don't want to keep hearing wait till next year
