SFA Insider Notes: Coliseum renovations, recruiting updates, more

For all the mockery of Sam Houston State basketball head coach Jason Hooten, it isn't deficiencies of he or his staff that have prevented the Bearkats from getting over the hump on the hardwood during his tenure. Hooten, by peer accounts, is a tough-minded defensive coach who has, perhaps, maybe even overachieved in Huntsville. Stephen F. Austin, as they have been known to, rolled the Bearkats this last weekend for one reason: SFA, as an institution, is committed to basketball.
