Get at least that free agent contract and make yourself $900K.

Vidlak and Kylon will no doubt end up on a roster, at least a preseason roster. QB in the NFL is such a hard position to make though as an UDFA.

Southard is another one I expect at least in a preseason roster.

My opinions, for what they're worth (not much)...

Vidlak - slight hance to make a UFL or CFL team. Harris - might make an NFL team's practice squad. Southard - a long shot to land anywhere.

Not the best look for recruiting at the FCS level…

I would think Sam Vidlak will get some NFL rookie minicamp invites, but if not he still has that CFL Ottawa Redblacks opportunity, as they own his CFL rights from 2025.

5 other players that were drafted started in the FCS but transferred to FBS teams.

9 FCS players have though signed free agent contracts since the draft ended yesterday

The low draft numbers for FCS schools in 2026 are definitely a side effect of the transfer portal FBS programs are essentially "scouting" the FCS to fill their own rosters, taking many of the top prospects before their draft year.

It actually surprised me that we are a better pro factory than Sam Houston. Slightly so, but given their more consistent FCS success than us, I would've expected they would've sent more people to the pros.
