I just watched what was perhaps the greatest match in Wimbledon history. Kevin Anderson from South Africa defeated John Isner of the USA 26-24 in the 5th set! Anderson won 7-6, 6-7, 6-7, 6-4, 26-24. They played 6 hours and 36 minutes. The longest game in Wimbledon history and the 2nd longest in Grand Slam history. An AMAZING match.

BTW, Anderson stands 6"8" tall and Isner 6'10" tall. Two tennis giants. Toward the end of the match, both of them were still hitting serves of near 120 mph!

Didnt Isner play in the previous record match?

Yes. But that one was 11 hours over a two-day period. This one was the longest in continuous play.

That was an amazing match. Tough for either one to lise. They really need to change to a fifth set tie breaker of some sort.

Anderson will probably be physically shot for the final on Sunday morning. He already had a played another extra long five-setter against Roger Federer a couple of days before.

Agreed. Although if Djokovic and Nadal go long in the completion of their match today, that could be a partial equalizer.
