Southern Miss also lost an exhibition to LSU-NO 82-72. Looks like the entire SLC is going to be ultra competitive this year.

UNT completely shut down Larry Johnson in the second half. I don't know who our best guard defender this year will be, but if Johnson can be shut down then McNeese can be beaten. He's 60% of their offense. I saw no one else on their team that's a top notch player.

East Texas A&M beat Rice 72-71 in Houston. Looks like they're definitely for real. We play Rice here in a week.
