UConn's Paige Bueckers tore the ACL in her left knee and will miss the entire 2022-23 season. She was national player of the year in 2021 as a freshman, and she also missed 19 games last year with a different left knee injury.

That's tough. She had a fractured tibial plateau, which is the bone right below the knee. We were watching that game against Norte Dame when it happened. She stumbled bringing the ball up, and landed awkwardly. Heck of a player.

A close one and a little eyebrow raising but I'm not going to read too much into an exhibition game. TWU was very good last year.

Sounds like a typical Lumberjack tune-up.

After getting by our Ladyjacks the other day, Gonzaga plays at #2 Stanford today (Dec. 4). Maybe we can gleen a bit more of how we stack up with the best in the country, especially if Gonzaga holds their own against the Cardinal.

Gonzaga has really good shooters. There work inside was good, but I was really impressed by the ball movement.

Sundevil women have to forfeit 2 Pac-12 games because they don't have 7 players available. Not that I think the Ladyjacks will need it, but ASU win will be worth less and less.

In only the program's 4th season, the Texas A&M - Texarkana Lady Eagles are Red River Conference Champions, now 26-1 overall for the season, perfect 14-0 at home, 20-0 in the Red River Conference, and riding a 23-game win streak.

Currently in the Red River Conference Tournament semi-finals.

The men in their 4th season are 22-7; 14-0 at home and in the semi-finals as well.

TAMUT is the SFA of the NAIA.

First place SUU beat last place Tarleton 80-78 in OT. This makes SFA's loss to SUU even more of a head-scratcher.

SUU plays Cal Baptist on Tuesday, and CBU is playing very well right now. Don't be surprised if CBU knocks off SUU and opens the door for the Ladyjacks to move into a tie for first.

Now 25 game win streak and Red River Tournament Champions.

The men lost in the semi-finals.

Certainly a Highly Successful off season already. Clearly a testament to the solidity of the conference.

Let's be honest. That "tournament" is a joke. Pay big bucks just to participate, then play a couple of other teams that also barely won half their games this year.

A win is still a win. These are all D1 universities.

It's not a joke to the student/athletes playing in it. They get to keep playing. They get to build for the next season. They are excited to be there.

Terrible take on it.

Your unnecessarily ugly comment about my "terrible take" is not appreciated. I was giving my OPINION of having that tournament in the first place, not the players and teams. It's nothing more than a money-making tournament conducted by Sport Tours International.

I don't always agree with everything you comment about on this website, but I have never and will never criticize you for them the way you just criticized me. Everyone's OPINIONS should be accepted and welcomed here.

They all count at this level. The tournament has some legit squads in it. On any given day. FDU vs Purdue. These are legit squads that could be NCAA abound next year. Experience against any tournament team has "some" value. I see no reason to demean the tournament.

For the first time ever in the Women's NCAA tournament, two #1 seeds have been eliminated in the 2nd round. Stanford loses to Ole Miss and Indiana loses to Miami.
