The UIL will consider several potential rules changes in its upcoming meeting on June 14. Items on the agenda to be discussed:

-- Prohibiting freshmen from participation in varsity sports
-- Change soccer from a spring sport to a fall sport
-- Add a shot clock to basketball
-- Allow 6th graders to compete at the Class 1A level
-- Establish a 10-year compensation package for sports officials

Anyone can propose a rule change to be included on the meeting agenda, so some of these items may never see the light of day.

Some of these makes a shot clock more believable.

What, you don't think 6th grade 75 pound weaklings should play against 250 pound seniors???
