The "Not Ready for Prime Time Players". As soon as we had two on and no outs on the 1st inning and didn't score, I knew we were in for a long day. The day was even longer than I imagined. (I thought long and hard about driving up to Sugar Land for the game early this morning. Glad I didn't.)

Already 5 LOB through 3. Got to drive in some runs.

Well that was crap. Bases loaded with 2 out in the sixth. It looks like Fikes beat out the throw but was called out. Could have used some insurance runs in a 3-2 game.

And then screwed back to back with a player not called out on a swinging strike.

Extra innings because of two blown calls. Time for some overtime magic.

Lost off of a terrible base running decision. Had our opportunities. Next year again.

Is it me or does it seem like HBU just shows up for the conference tournament in about every sport. They're not worth a **** during the regular season in anything but then win (or are very competitive in the tourney). Crazy stuff. HBU ---- going to the NCAA Baseball Tournament...... probably not.

Yeah, and except for MBB, it's the exact opposite for us.

Hope you guys root for us in the NCAAs. I know it's a nasty rivalry, but success for the conference helps everyone. You guys put the Southland on the basketball map with your MBB teams. I actually root for you in March Madness, but don't tell anybody.

Well you guys did it. Congrats on the trip to the Super Regionals. Do some damage for the Southland.

Sam's wins is great for them and good for our conference. i hope they go far.

If it can't be us, and in BB it's usually not, it's great to see Sam doing well in NCAA, knocking off Tekka Tek today to move on. Go get 'em Sam with some support from SFA types!

Rivalry doesn't have to be nasty and I really think/hope that most of the attendant smack is firmly tongue-in-cheek...when it's not, well, someone needs to get a life. We're talking college sports, here, not terrorism. As a proud SFA alum, I'm happy that Sam's doing well thus far in the BB NCAAs and will always pull for them or any other SLC team to do well when we're not the ones moving on.
